Hi! I’m Heather, also known as WebKittyn around the net, and I’m a complete reality TV junkie! I’ve decided it’s time to come out of the closest and face the scorn of my friends in denial over their own reality TV loves and write about it!
I used to have a normal life, I really did. Born and bred in Westchester County, NY, I was the typical suburban kid who grew into a suburban adult with a job, an apartment, a cat and a full life. I had shows that I watched like American Idol and Survivor but I wasn’t hooked and had yet to discover Bravo.
A few years ago everything changed and I was given end-stage-kidney-failure. Yes, given. A bunch of quack doctors in a quack hospital did a huge ‘OOPS’ and I was broken for life by their mistakes. I also moved back into my parents’ home to help my father who was horribly sick. So there I was with my dad dying and having to accept dialysis and transplant options and a move to the middle of Nowhere, NY.
I spent a lot of time watching television and that’s when I discovered Bravo and the fun of the Food Network and all that is reality TV. A devotee was born! It served as the perfect escape from my own crappy life and something to do as life in the country is not full of fun and frolic.
I also own an internet radio station with two friends and do a show on Tuesday nights (no, it’s not about reality TV) so my life isn’t all about this stuff but it’s a big part of it. My kidneys keep me awake most of the night, I spend my wee hours watching everything I DVR’d from earlier that night and it’s relaxing and fun.
Pleasure to meet you, come on in and grab a chair and let’s talk about what those crazy housewives are up to now! I also have an uncanny knack of picking winners of reality shows the first time I see them so I’ll be sharing my guesses as shows start up!
